INTERNSHIPS AT PINEAPPLE
Description:
To apply to the internship/apprenticeship, all applications must be through our Audacy careers portal HERE.
We are excited to offer two remote six-month long training positions at Pineapple Street Studios. These positions offer the opportunity to do exciting and meaningful work on various shows and learn about diverse production styles and roles in the industry.
The PSS production internship is intended to be a learning experience for those who are passionate about audio storytelling but may not have had a ton of (or any!) formal training. A great candidate may be just out of college, switching careers and pivoting to audio, or makes a podcast for fun from their closet.
The PSS production apprenticeship is meant to hone the skills of applicants who already possess some audio knowledge. A great candidate may have already had an internship and is comfortable editing in a DAW like Hindenburg or Pro Tools, but is looking for continued support before taking on an Associate Producer position.
Both roles will be responsible for a combination of the following tasks:
Pitching guest, segment, and episode title ideas
Booking guests, including scheduling and securing executed release form
Creating interview prep docs
Assisting producers with episode outlines and archival media needs
Attending recording sessions
Logging tape after recording sessions
Preparing sessions with relevant tape from multiple recordings
Taking first passes on assigned episodes, segments and ads
Conducting pre-interviews
Facilitating remote recording session
Other administrative tasks to support production

Applicant must be 18 or older and able to work from one of Audacy’s markets (Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, Wisconsin)

The Application
To apply please submit via our Audacy careers portal HERE:
- A résumé
- A cover letter that tells us a little about you and why you want to work in podcasting as well as any relevant audio experience you’ve had thus far
- The answers to the following questions:
- What was the last thing you recommended to a friend (it can be anything!)? Why did you recommend it?
- What podcast are you most excited about? Did they break format or book a hard to pin down guest? Did you learn something new – not just about the subject matter – but about audio storytelling because of it?
- Tell us about a recent radio piece or podcast you felt was flawed in some way. What would have made it stronger?
Only complete applications that include a résumé, cover letter, and the answers to all the questions will be considered.
Candidates selected for an interview will be notified by email to set up a time for a video interview.
