The 11th is a podcast from Pineapple Street Studios. On the 11th day of every month, the show will take on an entirely new shape, length, and style. Think of it a bit like a mystery box. We want to present original reporting, personal stories, musicals, advice columns, miniseries, concept albums, and whatever else you’ve got. A piece may be 5 minutes, it may be 75 minutes. It may be one episode or three episodes. But every month it will be something new.

We’re looking for pitches to help us shape the early months of the show. The project is going to work with internal and external sources. We are looking for diverse stories in every sense of the word and are  currently working on a documentary mini-series, a concept album, and a modern take on an old book.

You are probably saying to yourself, “It sounds like it could be anything.” And that is not technically wrong. But we will be selective. We want projects that feel new and ambitious, are told uniquely well by the person pitching them, and might not currently have a home.

The reality is that many good stories aren’t meant to be a 10-part series and don’t fit the confines of a formatted weekly show. We want to be a home for those in-between ideas.

So, please send a written pitch to 11@Pineapple.fm. Include information about the idea, what stage it is currently in (just an idea is fine), links to relevant reading about the project or topic, and a bit about yourself; your past work, your access to the story, and what makes you the right person to make it. We will do our best to respond to every pitch.
